Proposed Haul Route
Kaw Valley Companies, Inc. proposes to dredge sand for 25+ years from a parcel of Leavenworth County farmland located at 166th Street and Lenape Road (just north of Burning Tree Golf Course and the city of DeSoto).

These maps show the haul route that their estimated 160 diesel dump trucks would travel
every weekday from 7 am to 3 pm
to first transport sand from the quarry site to their drying plant in Edwardsville, Kansas
then to return empty to the site to refill and do it all again.

Pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, busloads of school-kids, commuters, wildlife, and residents
far beyond the borders of Leavenworth County
will be adversely impacted by Kaw Valley's proposed project.
